Senior Late Arrival/ Early Release Policy and Forms

Senior Late Arrival Policy

Senior students who have 1st block study hall and a signed permission form from their parent/legal guardian will be allowed to arrive late to school. (9:55 a.m. – 10:05a.m.) This is a senior privilege. Students are not allowed on campus before 10:05 a.m. without prior approval by the principal. Seniors that drop a 1st block class for study hall will not be allowed “late arrival.” Parents and students understand that it is their responsibility for all daily announcements and being aware of any schedule changes that may affect their attendance/tardy. (No tardies/absences will be excused because the student was not aware of a schedule change.) Seniors that violate this policy or have excessive 2nd block tardies will have this privilege revoked and will be placed in study hall.

Senior Dual Credit Release

Senior students who have completed the dual credit exams, and have a signed permission form from their parent/legal guardian will be allowed to leave school upon completion of exams. This is a senior privilege. Students are not allowed to remain or return to campus without prior approval of the principal.

Senior Work Release Policy

Employed senior students who are eligible for early release and have a 3rd block study hall, will be eligible for “work release.” Before the work release will be placed into the student’s schedule, the student MUST first turn in a letter from their employer, on the employer’s letterhead, stating that the student is employed and will be reporting to work before 1:51 p.m. daily.
