Florence County School District Five presently provides programs or is planning programs/services for children with the following disabling conditions: INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES, DEAF/HARD OF HEARING, DEAF-BLINDNESS, VISUAL IMPAIRMENT, ORTHOPEDIC IMPAIRMENT, SPEECH-LANGUAGE IMPAIRMENT, SPECIFIC LEARNING DISABILITIES, EMOTIONAL DISABILITIES, TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY, DEVELOPMENTAL DELAY, OTHER HEALTH IMPAIRMENT, AUTISM, and MULTIPLE DISABILITIES.
A special “CHILD FIND/SEARCH” is being conducted on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, to identify children with a disabling condition. If you have a child that does not attend school who has one of the disabilities listed above, and reside in Florence School District Five, please bring him/her to Johnsonville Elementary School between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. During this time, kindergarten registration will also be conducted.
Should you be aware of any child in the district who needs services, please contact Wanda Moore, Special Services Administrative Assistant, at 843-386-3268 weekdays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., or in writing to P. O. Drawer 98, Johnsonville, South Carolina, 29555. The names of all persons will be kept confidential.
