Mrs. Jen Hodges, JHS Art Teacher, was recently awarded a $700 Bright Ideas Grant from Santee Electric Cooperative. This grant provides Art 3 classes with real-world problem solving and creative challenges, making a working lamp out of found and recyclable items. The project allows students the opportunity to understand how electricity works and then explore the juxtaposition of function and design. Congratulations to Mrs. Hodges, and thanks to Santee Electric Cooperative for providing this opportunity for JHS students.
